Cave Patrick Lantheaume

My vines are at the heart of the wine producing region of the Appellation Clairette de Die, between the Alps and Provence at the foot of the Vercors. They have many hours of sunshine on limestone rocky soil.

Tourist information and activities

The cellar is open all year round 7 days a week from 9am to 12am and 2pm to 6pm

Tour of the cellar and vineyard by appointment with a wine-tasting

Groups welcome (maximum 15 people)

On show there is antique wine-making equipment such as presses and filters.

The « Clairette Walkway starts in Barsac.

The producer

My vinestock is on plots at Barsac covering just 5 hectares/12.3 acres as I prefer to produce small quantities of good quality wines.

The vineyard has been in my family from father to son for five generations and I continue using the same traditional craft methods as my forefathers. I have not used any chemicals on my vines since 2003 as I wish to preserve the environment.

A path leads directly from the cellar to the vinestock at 200m altitude where you can enjoy the views over the vineyard and the landscape of Barsac.

Production

I produce to wines:

AOC Clairette de Die Tradition : 90 % muscat and 10 % clairette grape varieties. This is a sparkling fruity wine with subtle aromas of muscat.

AOC Clairette de Die brut : 100 % clairette variety
