The small village of Barsac is at the heart of the AOC Clairette de Die, to the South of the Vercors It enjoys a Mediterranean climate with hot, sunny Summers that encourage the muscat grapes to perfect maturity. The clay and limestone soil with its characteristic blue « marne » sandstone means that water is retained and protects the vines from the risk of drought in arid periods of the year.

The producer

Our vineyard covers 5.5 hectares/13.59 acres of which 90% is the muscat grape variety and 10% is clairette. The yard has been handed down from father to son for four generations and we would like to keep it on a small scale, making quality wines that respect the land and the environment. In this way we will be able to continue making wines that are authentic and healthy and that are the true produce of the climate, the land and the wine-grower himself.

Our vines are cultivated without chemical fertilizers and we are in our third year converting to 100% organic farming.

Production

AOC Clairette de Die Tradition, converting to organic farming (2014)

AOC Clairette de Die brut, converting to organic farming (2014)
