The cabanon and the surrounding plot are private property. No trespassing !
At the top of the plateau (333 m), the village is no longer visible, hidden at the bottom of the furrow dug by the river Drôme. You are standing on terrace made of limestone pebbles caught in a earthen or chalky clay cement suitable for wine growing.
At the end of the day, the shadow of a tall walnut tree refreshes the wine grower before he returns home.
This cabanon is a rare example with two doors and a divided space. For 2 brothers, or 2 cousins ? Or one side for people, the other for animals and tools ?
In this cabanon, water is pumped inside (by hand) to feed a tank on the west side that is used for mixing the bouillie bordelaise.
